Leslie Karr of the Overland Park Planning Commission provided the following heads up on 7/23/2007 of the request for annexation:
"On July 17, 2007, the City received a request from annexation for 79.15 acres at the southeast corner of 159th Street and Metcalf. This area does not include Fire Station #5. Outside of a very simple petition (names of owners, legal description and dates) no other application or report is required for a consent to annex petition. The current owners of the land requesting annexation are Blue Valley Plaza, L.L.C. and Metcalf 161 Partners, L.L.C. The annexation has been scheduled for consideration by the Community Development Committee on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. All associated materials for this annexation will be posted to the City's web site by Thursday, July 26, 2007 at this address:
