Hike in Monte Rio Redwoods Regional Park
Sonoma County, California - November 16, 2024
~4 Miles, 1000' Elevation Gain
Reenie and Bob

This is our first time to visit Monte Rio Redwoods Regional Park. We see very few people even though it is Saturday on a nice, if cool, day. The trails are well maintained and completely surrounded by redwoods - very pretty. The first half of the hike is virtually all uphill, with a few down/ups.

The following two maps show the directions we hike in red - we stay on the green trail lines the whole time. Click on the a map to be taken to the Alltrails maps which is the basis for these map pics.

There was a recent (as in probably a few days) controlled burn, so we see many blackened trees on parts of the trails. We also get to a see a car wreck next to the trail from long ago. Following are pictures we took (Reenie's camera quit working early on, so most photos are by Bob.)
