The City Of Overland Park distributed a press release announcing that Mayor Carl Gerlach has withdrawn support for Stadium Star Bonds to fund the Wizards stadium proposed at 159th and Antioch. This has generated a huge sigh of relief among those who fought to defeat the proposed soccer bond for soccer fields to be located near the stadium. That proposal was defeated by a vote of 64% to 36%.
