Hi neighbors in Blue Valley Riding!

Neighbors help each other out in different ways and I just wanted to talk about two guys in our neighborhood who have taken it upon themselves to do a lot of work in a quiet sort of way.

Alan Albert and Don Smith saw that our dam at the end of the larger lake needed work. All of us got an invitation for a bon fire last Saturday (which was put off because of winds). Well, that bon fire is the culmination of a lot of effort on Don and Alan's part.

The hedge trees along the dam had grown so much that it was becoming very difficult to even get through on the north end of the dam. Those two guys spent a lot of time cutting those trees back. Then there was a large dead tree that also had to be removed. They did that.

If you want to see just how much cutting was involved, walk on down to the lake and take a look along the shore of the dam.
