March 12, 2002 Jack M. Epps Dear Mr. Epps: The Blue Valley Riding Homes Association appreciates the effort you have taken to involve our residents in discussions of your development plans for land in the vicinity of the Southeast Corner of Metcalf and 159th Street. However, we also are concerned that you gave our residents notice by taping leaflets on mailboxes on Monday evening for a meeting you have scheduled for Thursday evening. This notice is of course much too short to ensure reasonable participation. Perhaps you also were unaware that your meeting coincides with the first day our children are released from school for the next 7 school days. Families often schedule holiday vacations for Spring Break. In the spirit of working together to shape development which directly abuts our neighborhood and affects so many more neighborhoods, we propose that the meeting be scheduled after Spring break. We suggest the meeting be held on the evening of March 27, April 1, or April 2. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Gayle Schloemer, President, Blue Valley Riding Homeowners Association |
