Sewer Petition For Sub-Watershed Including New Blue Valley Middle/High School

One of the owners of large tracts of land who previously voted against the Blue River #14 Study Area in the last preference vote has shown renewed interest in a new sewer district. Based on a request for information and an initial phone call, the Waste Water Department is now preparing a legal request for a petition.

According to the Waste Water District, the Blue Valley School District would have a difficult time if it were required to rely on holding tanks for both a high school and a middle school. Hence, a sewer district comprised of a sub-watershed including the new schools on Antioch would be valuable to the school district.

If there is sufficient interest among landholders to create the new sewer district, it would not include all of the original Blue Valley River District. For instance, Section S14, Oxford Township would be excluded.
