Dates For Sewer & Zoning Board Meetings Finalized
Neighborhoods To Meet About Car Dealership Proposed Near 162nd Ter & Metcalf

November 13, 1997:

The information meeting for the Section S17 area (Metcalf/Nall between 159th/167th) has been scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 1997. All affected homeowners should have received a letter informing them of details of this meeting. The sewer system being proposed is now called a "Low Pressure" system. It was previously referred to as a "Grinder Pump" system. See previous articles describing this system with reaction of some residents.

The Town Zoning Board Meeting to discuss both the warehouse and the car dealership has now been moved to Thursday, December 4. It had previously been scheduled for Thursday, November 20, conflicting with the sewer meeting. Only those homeowners within 1000 feet of the dealership and warehouse will be notified by the County. So pass the word to those you know who live nearby about this meeting (for instance, Blue Valley Riding, Willowbend, Green Meadows, Sylvan Lake, Blue Valley, etc.) and the application for a Conditional Use Permit.

Neighborhood Meeting

Blue Valley Riding Home Association (BVRHA) and the Blue Valley Alliance Of Neighborhoods (BVAN) have agreed to coordinate their meetings on Thursday, November 13, so neighbors can have an opportunity to discuss the newest application for rezoning (Conditional Use Permit).

The new zoning is to allow a car dealership to be built. Instead of small shops such as a garden center, a day care center, and a dance academy, which are now there, two applicants want to build a warehouse and a car dealership, respectively. Rezoning is required for this.

BVAN will meet from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm to discuss trash collection and a community pool. Discussion will be strictly limited to 15 minutes each for these topics.

The BVRHA meeting will begin at 7:00 pm with a talk by a local officer on vandalism in the area.

At 7:15 pm there will be a discussion of the new car dealership. This is expected to last for up to 1/2 hour.

The remainder of the evening will be spent on topics of specific interest to BVRHA, including dues.
