part of the consent agenda shown below. Comments about
other items that appear on the action agenda shown below
will be taken as each item is considered.
CONSENT AGENDA
Consent agenda items have been studied by the County
Commissioners and determined to be routine enough to be
acted upon in a single motion. If either a Commissioner
or a member of the public requests separate discussion
on an item, it can be removed from the consent agenda
and placed on the action agenda for further
consideration.

- BD1 Consider approving the February 6, 1997, Business
Session minutes.
Community Services
- CS1 Hold a public hearing prior to close-out of the
Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, which assisted
with the voluntary acquisition/relocation of seven
properties in the 9700 block of West 63rd Terrace,
Merriam.
Development Services
- DS1 Consider authorizing condemnation of right-of-way
in the Consolidated Main Sewer District for
construction of sewer lines in the area known as
Blue River Sewer Sub-District No. 6 and Blue River
No. 7. Resolution No. WD 97-11.
- DS2 Consider partial release of an easement for the
Consolidated Main Sewer District in the area known
as Tomahawk Creek No. 8, recorded in Volume 4226
on Page 371, Document No. 2353002.
- DS3 Consider approving a cost plus overhead and profit
construction contract with John Belger
Construction Company, Inc., for the construction
of the Mission Hills Bio-Technical Engineering
Stream Stabilization pilot project, at a cost up
to $300,000.
- DS4 Consider a request from Bob and Marilyn West,
owners, for a conditional use permit for a
construction contractor shop and yard at 19570 S.
Gardner Road. Application No. GA CU 1670 and
Resolution No. 015-97.
- DS5 Consider a request from Lester Dean, agent for
OneComm Corp., agent for the Johnson County Park
District, owner, for a conditional use permit (OX
CU 1609) to allow the placement of a 150 foot
communication tower on property located in
Heritage Park at 159th and Lackman, presently
zoned RN-1, Residential Neighborhood One District.

Support Services
- SS1 Consider amending the Travel Policy for Johnson
County to include an annual review of car
allowance amounts and a review process to
facilitate possible changes to current car
allowances and/or establish future car allowances;
and to no longer require a resolution for car
allowances approved by the Board of County
Commissioners.
- SS2 Consider increasing the Board of County
Commissioners' car allowance to $300 per month.
- SS3 Consider appointing Hearing Officers for Johnson
County, pursuant to Resolution No. 170-89.
